In the shadows of my mind
There lives a frightened little girl
She hides from loud noises
She cringes from harsh pain


The little girl is kept hidden
As those around her don’t want to see
There is a weak side to this woman
That is somewhere she want to be


Those closest to her don’t care
The pain in her eye shows
But all near to her never notice
All they want is not to know


She wants to cry out please hold me
Take me in your arms and let me cry
All that she feels is a cold wall
For weakness in her life is not allowed


So the pain in her life continues
Never to be dulled
I feel like I am falling
Help me there is no one to be strong


My soul is bleeding, crying tears of blood
My heart is breaking for a love that once was
Why cant I be weak just for a while
I see no light at the end of the tunnel
